My name is Michelle and I am 38 years old and the mother of four children. My boys are Jake and Justin (seven year old twins), Joseph who is 3 years old and Jayden, the newest edition, 7 months old. All of my children were born c-section.
After the birth of my 3 year old, I suffered from post-partum depression. My doctor prescribed Zoloft. This was probably the most difficult time of my life. The birth of my fourth child was also traumatic. I spent two weeks in the hospital after giving birth due to a bowel obstruction. The reality of having to cope with four children made me realize that I needed to be physically and mentally prepared to care for my family.
I joined Ballys Total Fitness and met Anthony Kelley. He assessed my physical condition and prescribed a workout schedule for me. I also suffered from lower back pain (sciatica) over the past few years. This was very painful and I tried to get relief by going to a chiropractor. It was not until I worked out with Anthony that my lower back pain was gone. Today, seven months after my last c-section I am stronger and in better shape than I have ever been in. I have a lot more energy and there is no sign of post-partum depression. I run 3 days a week and take my older boys with me. I work out with Anthony twice a week. Anthony Kelley has helped me immensely and I have him to thank for being in the best condition I have ever been in. I am pain free and do not require medication to live my life.

Dear Anthony:
HOORAY ! Finally a Personal Trainer who understands a woman’s needs. My program was designed specifically for what I had hoped to accomplish, along with the understanding of the physical and genetic barriers a woman needs to overcome to achieve the goals she is looking for.
At times , I may have doubted your understanding of a woman’s body because I was not seeing the desired results quickly or my routine or caloric intake needed to be restructured; however, I am pleased to say you always proved me wrong. Why didn’t I listen the first time!
You have push me to levels I did not believe I could have achieve; strength I did not believe I had, in fact I can’t believe I can squat more weight than you. (Almost!)
After months of hard training I have achieved the lean, strong, feminine body I was striving for. I have never felt stronger, healthier or more ready to take on pull ups and dips (maybe I’ll take that back) .
On a more serious note, my experience has left me with:
- a healthy eating pattern without sacrificing the "forbidden foods" on occasion.
- an understanding of how the body and food need to work simultaneously to achieve desired results.
- the importance of vitamins and supplements.
- training seriously; knowing what the term "muscle failure" really means
Anthony Kelley is a very competent, serious trainer and sincerely cares about his clients. There is never a question I had left unanswered . He keeps abreast of current data regarding health and fitness and deciphers it into two categories "true" and "false" information.
I would recommend his expertise to anyone who is serious about maintaining a healthy body and soul for life. Custom Fitness was truly a custom fitness program for me.
